Corps Temporarily Closes Campgrounds at Burnsville and Sutton Lakes

Due to recent storm activity from Hurricane Sandy, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has temporarily closed the Gerald R. Freeman Campground at Sutton Lake in Sutton, W.Va., and Bulltown and Riffle Run campgrounds at Burnsville Lake in Burnsville, W.Va, to allow utility crews to restore power and Corps staff to clean up storm damage.

(NOTE: By Nov. 9, 2012, all campgrounds that were closed will be reopened to the public.)

Visitors should call the Sutton Lake Project Office at 304-765-2816 or Burnsville at 304-853-2371 to assure that no additional storm activity has affected the area.
