SAME Hosting 18th Annual Engineering Career Day at Marshall University

The Huntington District Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is hosting its 18th Annual Engineering Career Day Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Marshall University Student Center. The opening ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Don Morris Room. West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant is the featured luncheon speaker.

Colonel Robert Peterson, Commander of the Huntington District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will welcome 150 high school students from throughout the tri-state area. Exhibits will feature areas of engineering expertise and will represent various engineering firms, with workshops included. Scholarships will be awarded to promising engineering students.

The Society of American Military Engineers is the premier professional engineering association in the United States for connecting architects, engineers and builders in the public sector and private industry, uniting them to improve individual and collective capabilities for national security.
